My experience with True North Disability Services has been a very positive one. Beginning with a Facebook ad that was brought to my attention by a family member - an ad that I met with skepticism - I figured I had nothing to lose and followed the simple steps that were laid out for me by True North Disability Services. As simple as it was though, I had NO IDEA that living with Type 1 Diabetes and my life sustaining, self-injected insulin therapy means that I was entitled to receive money back from the government! No one had ever told me this! Until True North Disability Services crossed my path that is. My case was handled professionally, in a timely manner, and without difficulty. With the guidance and expertise of True North Disability Services, Canada Revenue Agency has reassessed my income tax returns as far back as, and including, 2005 and has granted me access to a certain amount of money that I paid out in the last 10 tax years! And I have already received from the CRA my reassessed income tax return explanation T491 E forms for all those years! Impressively, the entire process was completed - with government cheque for over $21,000 in my possession - in just over 4 months. Thank you Shane. Thank you Emily. Thank you Amig. You guys are awesome!! Paying True North Disability Services 20% of my total reclaimed money (plus taxes) was a pleasure and a small price to pay in order for me to have an increase of over $16,000 in my bank account! If one considers the fact that I was fully UNAWARE of my right to access any of this money and that no one was giving up this information to me readily, until now, AND if one considers the fact that there is a time limit on reassessments by the CRA in cases such as this one, and that soon enough I would have lost out on this opportunity to recoup any amount of money I paid out that I didn't have to in the first place, well, I think it is safe to say that I struck proverbial gold here.
