I came across this company on Facebook and thought I would look into the Disability Tax Credit. I was really happy with the explanation that I received on how to start the process and True North was there to walk me through all the steps that I needed to apply for the credit. I have been retired for the last few years, but was told the government could go back ten years on my taxes if I qualified. True North explained that because of the tax season upon us it may take a little longer to have my application looked at. But I started in Early December 2015 and just received my back tax credits March 10th/16 !! The only draw back about going through True North, is that they have to make some money, which I understand, but they do charge 20% of what you receive and for myself a retired person I think that the charge is too steep, perhaps a flat rate as GST is also charged so it soon adds up, considering you can do this yourself if you have the time and patient to research and understand the Governments rules. All in all it was a very good experience.
